Abstract

This study aims to developed measurement model of soft competency scale in the measurement of the index value of student’s soft skills in POLMAN Bandung. Based on the research objectives, this study fall into the category of research and development. The results of these measurements in addition to the developed  of the six-dimensional soft competency that ever measured, i.e. motivation, flexibility, willingness to learn, integrity, relationship building and teamwork and cooperation, there are two additional dimensions that need to be measured , i.e leadership and communication skills. The calculation result validity test for the validity of the measuring instrument with a value of N = 100 and a significance level of 5%  (r table = 0.195) shows that there are 90 items declared valid and the 6 items declared invalid. Reliability test results show that the reliability level of 0.954 which means soft competency scale measuring devices can be used to measure the index value of student's soft skills in POLMAN Bandung. The measuring instrument which was developed in this study were named Soft Competency Scale-Self Administrated Questionnaire (SCS-SAQ).
